Insights is the analytics layer on top of every task, work order, and SOP completion. It is built for two audiences: facility leads who manage a single site, and operations leadership comparing performance across many sites.
Open Insights
From the left navigation click Insights. The default view shows the current Facility for the last 30 days. Two pickers in the top bar let you change the date range and the Facility (or pick All facilities if you have access to more than one).
The four headline metrics
Across the top of Insights you will see four large numbers:
- Completion rate — the percentage of scheduled work that was completed (or excused) within its cadence window.
- On-time % — completion rate restricted to tasks closed by the due date, ignoring excused work.
- Missed work — count of tasks/WOs that closed past due or were not closed at all.
- Average cycle time — for work orders, the time from creation to close.
Each number is paired with a sparkline showing the trend across the selected range, and a delta vs. the previous equal-length period.
The charts
Scrolling down you will find:
- Completion by cadence — stacked bar of Daily / Weekly / Monthly completions per week.
- Compliance trend — on-time % per week per Facility.
- Work-order throughput — opens vs. closes per week (a healthy team's lines hover together).
- Top contributors — leaderboard of completed work by tech, with a toggle for hours vs. count.
- Cost by Facility — sum of WO costs by Facility per month (where Cost templates are enabled).
Reading the data well
- Three weeks of trend beats one week of detail. Resist the temptation to react to a single week's dip.
- Compare Facilities of similar size. A 12-person plant and a 2-person warehouse will never look the same — normalise by labour hours when needed.
- Investigate the floor, not the ceiling. A Facility hitting 99 % on-time week after week is either excellent or under-scheduled. Spot-check the work definitions.
Coaching workflows
A few common rituals:
- Weekly 1-on-1: open the tech's contributor view, walk through completed work, talk about anything overdue, agree on next week's priorities.
- Monthly Facility review: present the compliance trend chart, name the top three misses, agree on root-cause actions, set a target for next month.
- Quarterly leadership digest: export the headline metrics into the slide deck.
Exporting data
Click Export in the top right of Insights to download a CSV of the underlying rows for the current filter. Bring it into Excel or your BI tool for deeper slicing. The export honours your role-based access — you can only export what you can see.
Tips
- Bookmark the URL after applying filters. Insights URLs are shareable and reflect every filter as query parameters.
- Use the date-range presets (7d, 30d, 90d, YTD) for consistency across reviews.
- Disable Cost charts in Admin → Insights settings if your team does not enter cost data — empty charts erode trust.
FAQ
Can I see individual readings (chlorine, pressure)? Not in Insights today. Export the History CSV for raw readings.
Why is my Facility missing from the picker? Your role does not have access. Ask an Admin to grant Facility access from Admin → People.
Is there a real-time dashboard? Insights refreshes about every 5 minutes. For real-time operational status, use the Dashboard and the Ops tab.
